Since dht is needed to grow hair, inhibiting it with finas, Revivogen, avodart or any other anti-androgen is a mistake, it will cause more hair loss in the long term.
It has been noted by Merck that there is more dht in the balding area than the hairy one, this shows us that dht is not the cause of AGA, or the situation would be reversed. The follilces in the balding area have been rendered dormant by a lack of needed nutrients to grow hair and cannot absorb or utilize dht. So it just sits there.
The follilces in the hairy area can absorb and utilize the dht and produces healthy hair.
It was also found that there is more 5 a-reductase type 2 in the hairy area than the balding one. It tells us that it, along with dht is needed to grow hair, and why inhibiting it causes shedding.
