Ingredients
1.Arnica
Benefits: Internal and external preparations made from the flowering heads of Arnica have been used medicinally for hundreds of years. Alcoholic tinctures were used by early settlers to treat sore throats, as a febrifuge, and to improve circulation. Homeopathic uses included the treatment of surgical or accidental trauma, as an analgesic, and in the treatment of postoperative thrombophlebitis and pulmonary emboli.
It has been used externally for acne, bruises, sprains and muscle aches, and as a general topical counterirritant. Arnica has been used extensively in European folk medicine. Arnica has also been used for heart and circulation problems, to reduce cholesterol, and to stimulate the CNS. Arnica is employed in scalp tonics, antidandruff preparations, hair loss control shampoos, perfumery, cosmetics, as well as in homeopathic medicines.
2. Bay
Benefits: With its medicinal, fruity, spicy, herbaceous aroma, the bay leaves are used in aromatherapy to treat dandruff, hair care, neuralgia, oily skin, poor circulation, sprains, and strains.
3.Birch
Benefits: Birch fortifies and soothes the scalp and is recommended for care of the scalp against excessive hair loss, dandruff, sensitive, itchy scalp
4.Chamomile
Benefits: Chamomile is used widely in cosmetic preparations. It has a soothing and softening effect on the skin and has been used for centuries in hair preparations (shampoos and rinses) particularly for blond hair which it is said to both lighten and condition. Chamomile helps to retract skin cells that have been inflamed from chemical procedures, the sun and helps with those that have scaly scalps in including a lot of white flakes or psoriasis. Specialty shampoos and conditioners that contain chamomile help a number of scalp problems.
5.Coltsfoot
Benefits: Coltsfoot has been used as a cough remedy in both Western herbalism and traditional chinese medicine for at least 2,500 years. Coltsfoot is recommended to treat asthma, bronchitis, dry, hacking cough, laryngitis and hoarseness, lung cancer symptoms, mouth and throat irritations, sore throat and wheezing.
6.Comfrey
Benefits: Comfrey root and other parts of the herb have been valued medicinally for more than 2,000 years. Comfrey has been prepared as a poultice or compress with healing properties for blunt injuries, fractures, swollen bruises, carbuncles, varicose ulcers, and burns. The herb is thought to loosen congestion, soothe irritated membranes and skin, reduce bleeding, control hair loss, tighten tissues, and heal wounds.
7.Hops
Benefits: Hops contains volatile oil that works as both a highly effective hair conditioner and gives body to the hair.
8.Nettle
Benefits: Nettle Root Extract, which has been shown to inhibit the activity of type II 5-alpha reductase (the enzyme responsible for the creation of DHT). DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is main cause of Androgenetic alopecia (Male Pattern Baldness). Once DHT levels in the scalp are decreased, new hair growth can resume. It is also rich in vitamins A and C, and a wide range of minerals including Iodine, Silicon, and Sulfur, all especially good for the hair. 9.Rosemary
Benefits: Rosemary massage on the scalp stimulates the circulation in the scalp and promote hair growth. 10.Sage
Benefits: Sage is one of the best scalp clarifiers that is available from both natural and un-natural sources. 13.Yarrow
Benefits: Yarrow's high azulen content (which gives it its powerful anti-inflammatory action) is even higher than Chamomile. 14.Yucca
Benefits: Extracts from the plant's root are used in alternative medicine as a soap and as an herbal dietary supplement. Native American groups used yucca soap to treat dandruff and hair loss.
15Saw Palmetto
Benefits: Saw palmetto is the most potent herbal dht blocker. DHT is the main cause of Male pattern baldness. Studies have shown that saw palmetto is an effective anti-androgen. It acts in a similar way that propecia does. Firstly it lowers levels of DHT in the body by blocking 5 alpha-reductase. Secondly Saw Palmetto block receptor sites on cell membranes required for cells to absorb DHT. Studies have been performed on the use of Saw palmetto in the treatment of benign prostatic disease which similarly to Androgenetic alopecia (Male Pattern Baldness) also depends on the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). All of the studies that have been performed to date show that Saw palmetto is an effective antiandrogen and has shown conclusively to be effective in the treatment of benign prostratic disease.
